The SySS GmbH consists of a young team of consultants specialized in analyzing the security of company computer networks.

We provide consulting services only. In order to remain independent, we do not sell products, implementation or support.

This level of specialization enables us to do complex penetration testing.

Our philosophy is to offer consulting independent of products and vendors. SySS is experienced in dealing with very large networks and applying this knowledge to customer projects.

On request, customers can be present during a test and gain insights into penetration testing.

Long years of experience with computer networks and current knowhow in security make SySS a dependable and innovative consulting partner.

Our History:

June 1998
   
Graduate computer scientist Sebastian Schreiber founds SySS System Security Schreiber. Since then the company goals have remained the same: conducting challenging penetration tests. SySS continues to grow until this day.

February 1999

Publication of a Linux Howto. Since then regular publications in
professional journals (c't, KES, Network Computing) and participation in conferences.

July 1999

First workshop on "Hacker Skills for System Administrators".  Since then distribution also through several partners.  

February 2000

First TV reportage about SySS.  

April 2000
   
SySS needs more space and moves to the premises at Friedrich-Dannenmann-Straße 2.
(150 square metres, with our own course room)

November 2000

SySS opens the Security Area at the SYSTEMS (computer trade fair)  for the first time with a live hacking show. This tradition has been continuous to this day.

Mid-2001
   
More international projects.

March 2002

SySS takes part in the "International Cybercrime Project".

January 2003
   
SySS becomes a Ltd. (GmbH).

2005

More projects, workshops and live hacking shows take place abroad (Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Hungary, The Czech Republic, Romania, Russia, Portugal and the USA).

2007

Managing Director Sebastian Schreiber decides to build his own office building in the south of Tübingen, at Tübingen-Derendingen.

Sixteen full- and part-time employees and freelancers.
