Industrial control technology and operational technology (OT) pose particular challenges to the security of the systems used. The technologies employed were often not developed with IT security in mind and have evolved over the years.
This training teaches the basics of typically used components and secure OT network architecture, as well as best practices for operating and maintaining OT systems with regard to security and potential vulnerabilities. In practical exercises using industry-standard programmable logic controllers (PLCs), participants take on the role of a hacker and learn how OT environments can be defended against attacks.
